It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the official “Meet and Greet” for Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) professionals on November 14, 2018. The aim of the Meet and Greet is to start a dialogue and raise awareness of the various FDR resources and services available for public integration by FDR professionals. In addition, it will also provide a platform for FDR professionals to share and discuss their knowledge and experience as it relates to existing FDR services, as well as stimulate meaningful conversations on the development of new and alternative services to better serve the needs of our community and increase access to justice.

A workshop and conversation about technology, apps, artificial intelligence, and family dispute resolution. Anchored in a discussion of Rebecca Bromwich’s ongoing research at Carleton’s Conflict Resolution Program in the Department of Law and Legal Studies, funded by the Law Foundation of Ontario, into uses of app technologies for assistance with conflict management in co-parenting and how that intersects with the family courts, this will be an interactive discussion of the tensions, problems, and promise offered by technology and AI and its uses in family law disputes.

Online Pedagogies for Mediation Training : A Conversation About Prospects, Limits, and Potential for Online Learning
