Estates & Elder

The Estate and Elder Law Sections of FDRIO meet informally from time to time. Attendees with diverse backgrounds in estates, family law, and related areas discuss a range of issues specific to family members engaging in estate and elder law litigation, as well as the issues of quality control of mediators who specialize in these matters and accessibility to mediation and other alternative dispute models for assistance in resolving such disputes.

We encourage members of our section to attend FDR Week events and to make your presence known through engaging in discussions regarding the utility of alternative dispute resolution in the context of estate, capacity, and elder law matters involving family members.

Anyone interested in membership to the Estate and Elder Law Sections of FDRIO or members who would like to connect with other section members are invited to contact section co-chairs, Ian Hull (ihull@hullandhull.com), Mike Adams (adams@andersonadams.ca), and Ellen Anderson (anderson@andersonadams.ca).

Please stay tuned for news regarding our next section meeting!
